These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the sale of products (“Products”) on the website of Aura Pilates UK (“the Website”). By placing an order on the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
1. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms apply to all orders and purchases made via the Website by customers located in the United Kingdom. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any significant changes will be notified to customers on the Website. Your continued use of the Website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
2. Prices and Payment (DDP Guarantee)
- Currency: All prices displayed on the Website are in Pounds Sterling (£).
- Taxes & Duties (DDP): Aura Pilates UK operates on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis. The price you see at checkout includes applicable UK VAT and all import customs duties.
- No Hidden Fees: Customers will not be subject to any additional charges, administrative fees, or taxes upon delivery.
- Delivery Costs: Aura Pilates UK offers Free Standard Shipping on all orders delivered to mainland United Kingdom. The price displayed at checkout is the final price you pay.”
3. Acceptance of Order
- Contract Formation: Your order constitutes an offer to purchase. A contract is only formed when you receive a formal confirmation email from us.
- Order Rejection: We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order in the event of suspected fraudulent activity, incomplete/incorrect customer information, or if the product is out of stock. You will be notified immediately via email in such cases.
4. Delivery Times & Tracking
We provide realistic delivery windows that account for the specialized handling and international transport required for professional-grade Pilates Reformers.
Standard Lead Time: 6–8 weeks.
- Processing Time: 10–15 business days (Technical calibration, quality control, and reinforced export crating).
- Transit Time: 20–25 business days via international specialized heavy freight (Includes customs clearance and scheduled home delivery).
In-Stock Availability: When an item is explicitly marked as “In Stock” on the product page, the lead time is significantly reduced as the equipment is already manufactured and ready for immediate logistics planning.
These orders are prioritized for the earliest possible freight departure.
Order Tracking: As soon as your equipment leaves our logistics centre, you will receive a confirmation email containing a tracking number and a link to our carrier’s portal.
5. Specialized Delivery Method (Curbside Only)
Due to the significant weight of our Reformers (60kg to 95kg), all deliveries follow these strictly enforced rules:
- Threshold Delivery: The carrier will deliver the equipment as close as possible to your property (driveway, garage, or building entrance).
- No Inside Delivery: For insurance reasons, the driver is not authorized to bring equipment inside, upstairs, or perform installation.
- Assistance Required: We strongly recommend having at least two people available to receive and move the equipment.
- Appointment: For large equipment, the carrier will contact you via phone or SMS 24–48 hours before delivery to schedule a window.
6. Product Use and Resale
Products purchased through the Website are intended for professional or private use as described. They may not be used for any illegal purpose. Resale for fraudulent or misleading purposes is strictly prohibited.
7. Right of Withdrawal and Returns
- 30-Day Policy: In accordance with our commitment to satisfaction, you have 30 calendar days from the date of delivery to exercise your right of withdrawal.
- Condition: Products may be returned provided they are undamaged, disassembled for transport, and ideally in their original packaging.
- Free Returns: As stated in our Refund Policy, Aura Pilates UK covers the cost of return shipping for all eligible orders within the 30-day window.
8. Accepted Payment Methods
To ensure a smooth and secure checkout experience, we accept a wide variety of payment methods, including:
- Credit and Debit Cards: All major international cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.).
- Digital Wallets: Express checkout via Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
- Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL): We offer flexible payment solutions through providers such as Klarna. By selecting these methods, you acknowledge that you are entering into a separate financial agreement with the provider. Aura Pilates UK is not liable for any interest, late fees, or credit impacts arising from your agreement with these third-party providers.
Payment Security: All transactions are processed through PCI-DSS compliant, SSL-encrypted gateways. Your sensitive financial data is never stored on our servers.
Payment Authorization: The total order amount is debited immediately upon order confirmation. We reserve the right to perform security checks and may request additional verification for transactions flagged as high-risk by our fraud prevention systems.
9. Refunds and Cancellations
- Inspection: Upon receipt of the returned product at our technical center in France, an inspection will be conducted within 2–5 business days.
- Refund Period: Validated refunds will be processed within 14 business days after inspection.
- Method: The refund will be issued via the original payment method used during checkout.
- Delivery Guarantee: In accordance with legal provisions, if the announced delivery time is significantly exceeded (beyond 35 business days from the estimate), the customer may cancel their order and receive a full refund.
10. Liability
Aura Pilates UK cannot be held liable for damages resulting from:
- Improper use or assembly of the equipment by the customer.
- Non-compliance with the safety instructions provided with the products.
- Indirect losses or business interruption.
Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and any separate agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France.
For consumers residing in the United Kingdom, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement under the laws of the United Kingdom (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015).
Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of your country of residence or the courts of France.
